Some friends and I went to Chicago this past week for a quick 3 day 2 night adventure. We had a great time. Katrina and I met up one evening and as we we were sitting in front of the Art Institute we watched some street drummers.
Then we saw a police officer bike up. One friend took off and the other got patted down. Then the officer tried to call on his walkie talkie thing and the guy took off down the street too! I love drama! The officer was left alone with some buckets and $10. 
Katrina was not satisfied with this turn of events , so she asked the cop why he ran them off. He let her know it was illegal on that side of Michigan Avenue and they need permits for the other side. It seemed to take some of the fun out of it to know that street performers need permits.
It was good to get away before Summer School started. I forgot how much I liked Chicago. We agreed we needed to go back!
